Sir William Cash MP is the Member for Stone and was shadow Attorney general from 2001 to 2003. He is the Chairman of the House of Commons European Scrutiny Committee. Bill declined a government position in 1991, choosing instead to orchestrate opposition to the Maastricht Treaty. Bill Cash is the Chairman of the European Foundation and was also Chairman of the Parliamentary Friends of the Bruges Group in the House of Commons. Andrew Rosindell MP is the most effective grassroots campaigner in the country. As the Member of Parliament for Romford in Essex he has increased his majority since capturing the seat in 2001. Kate Hoey MP is the Labour Party Member of Parliament for Vauxhall. She served as the Minister for sport from 1999 until 2001. Kate was Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Home Office from 1998 to 1999. Born in Belfast she is a strong supporter of the Union. Kate opposed the plan for the introduction of ID cards. Kate Hoey was Chairman of the Countryside Alliance. As a longstanding Eurosceptic she was a leading Labour figure in the campaign to win a vote to leave the European Union.

 

Christopher Chope, OBE, MP is the Member of Parliament for Christchurch. prior to entering parliament, Chris was Leader of Wandsworth Council between 1979 and 1983 where he pioneered local government privatisation and achieved substantial expenditure reductions. In June 2013 Chope was one of four MPs who tried to facilitate a parliamentary debate on what they called an "Alternative Queen’s Speech" -an attempt to show what a future Conservative government might deliver. 42 policies were listed including reintroduction of the death penalty and conscription, privatizing the BBC, banning the burka in public places and preparation to leave the European Union.

 

Gerard Batten MEP, a UKIP Member of the European Parliament representing London, is an expert on the costs of EU membership, the case for withdrawal and the EU’s impact on immigration. He is also a vociferous campaigner against the European Arrest Warrant and the creation of a European system of criminal law. in his first term he was a member of the European Parliaments Security & Defence Committee, and from 2009 has been a member of the Civil Liberties Justice & Home Affairs Committee.

 

Professor David Myddelton is a chartered accountant with an MBA from the Harvard Business School. He has been Professor of Finance and Accounting at the Cranfield School of Management since 1972 (Emeritus since retiring in 2005).  From 2001 was Chairman of the Trustees of the Institute of Economic Affairs, a free market think-tank, before standing down in 2015. He has written a number of textbooks on accounting and finance; and he has written other books on Inflation Accounting, the British Tax System and Accounting Standards. His two latest books are; They Meant Well: Government Project Disasters and Margins of Error in Accounting. He’s also a prolific writer of letters to the newspapers, especially the Financial Times.

 

Julian Jessop is Chief Economist at the Institute for Economic Affairs. He has thirty years of experience as a professional economist in the public and private sectors, including senior positions at HM Treasury, HSBC and Standard Chartered Bank. Prior to joining the IEA in March he was a Director and Chief Global Economist at the leading independent consultancy, Capital Economics. Julian has a First Class degree in economics from Cambridge University and post-graduate qualifications in both economics and law. Julian is leading the IEA’s response to the progress of the Brexit negotiations.

 

Charlie Elphicke MP is the Member of Parliament for Dover. Following the UK's vote to leave the European Union, Charlie decided to publish a series of papers and articles to provide clarity on the UK's post-Brexit position. This revolved around a theme of Britain being 'Ready on Day One' - which provided suggestions on how the UK should be Brexit ready the day it leaves the EU, regardless of the deal it strikes with the bloc. He also published 'The Withdrawal of the UK from the EU - Analysis of Potential Financial Liabilities'. The paper showed that there was no legal or moral case for the UK to pay a divorce bill to the EU, instead, the EU could owe the UK €10 billion for its share of the European Investment Bank.
