There are three certainties that come with every Labour Government, these are: Labour always raise and find new ways to tax the population, they are hypocrites and every Labour Government has left office leaving the country in one hell of a mess. Sadly, nothing will deviate from this statement regarding our newly elected Socialist masters.
As someone, now older, and wiser, who has witnessed the actions of all Labour Governments from the 1950's to the present day, I know with certainty this newly elected Labour Government will, before long, be taxing people to the hilt. It has already been reported that large numbers of wealthy people have already begun to leave the UK in advance of a Labour tax grab. Soon chaos will reign supreme as there will not be enough millionaires and billionaires left who the Labour Government can tax until the pips squeak, the Socialist tax burden will quickly descend on those poor souls left who will be receiving letters of tax increases from HMRC, with love from Keir and Rachel!
Not to worry though, Sir Keir Starmer and his mob of leftie MPs will blame the reason for taxing everyone to the hilt due to the previous Government leaving the nation in such a fiscal mess and will claim: 'Not us guv, it wuz them wot caused it'. This is where Labour Party hypocrisy comes into play, as the press and many financial journalists, other than the BBC, have pointed out, the books were always open to see before Labour came to power - so the only way they can be surprised by the state of the nation's finances is due to the fact they either never bothered to do their job in opposition and study the books, either that or they are blatant liars and are telling such whoppers that would make Pinocchio's nose extend from Lands' End to John O'Groats.
The tale of Robin Hood told how he robbed from the rich too give to the poor, sadly, in just a month in office robbing Rachel has stolen the winter fuel payments from the elderly and is giving it to her mates in the trade unions with inflation busting pay rises for those employed in the public sector and civil service, which, ironically, is where the "black hole" she claims to have inherited comes from - is of her own doing.
However, for taking the hypocrisy biscuit, is robbing Rachel's statement that the outgoing Conservative Government had left the nation in the worst financial situation since WW2. If this little socialist madam really knew her Labour Party history she would know that every Labour Government since WW2 left the nation in a very parlous state every time they were turfed out of office. Clement Attlee's Government ended in rancour and infighting, Harold Wilson, as all Labour Governments do, wrecked the economy and famously devalued the pound. James Callaghan got into trouble due to Labour giving far too much power to the unions, they in turn were so out of control they ground the nation to a standstill. It was so bad by the end of the Callaghan Government the dead were left unburied and rubbish piled up, uncollected, in the streets. To cap it all the IMF had to step in to sort out the Labour created financial mess. Then sinister Blair wanted to control the population with ID cards (fortunately he failed), he divided the nation with devolution and his Chancellor, Gordon Brown, sold around half the nation's gold at a knockdown price due to flooding the market with gold. To add insult to injury the meagre funds raised from Labour selling our gold at a rock bottom price were used to prop up a newly created euro which was struggling to survive - losing even more of overtaxed British taxpayers money. Our new, inexperienced Chancellor, needs to look to the serious harm every Labour Government has done before making such ludicrous claims about the state of the economy she inherited. Ironically, most economists confirmed the situation in the UK was improving with unemployment and inflation down and public finances are in a better shape now than when Gordon Brown left office in 2010.
Gone too since Sir Keir and his pals took office are not only many much needed infrastructure projects, but a very much needed freedom of speech Act in Universities. The Labour Minister, Bridget Phillipson immediately set about pausing the Higher Education (Freedom of Speech) Act, as reported by the Free Speech Union, Labour care little for freedom of speech. Sadly, it will not be long before taxes rise, freedoms restricted, including freedom of movement when Labour start coming for our cars, the triple lock will be toast and illegal migration will surge now Labour has scrapped the Rwanda plan and removed the barriers. It is no wonder all those illegal immigrants waiting for the first inflatable across the Channel call Sir Keir Starmer "The friendly one".
